(6) Sign, execute and provide contracts and/or associated agreements with a guaranteed maximum price, agreed sum proposals or associated documents with an expected value of up to USD 4,000,000. (7) Sign, execute and provide contracts and/or agreements with architects, engineers and other professional service providers for all new construction projects, large or small, and smaller or larger repair and renovation projects, with an expected value of up to USD 4,000,000. The university`s legal loyalty authority rests with the Board of Regents of the University of the Texas System, in accordance with Rule 10501. The Board of Regents delegates to the President of each institution the power to execute and provide contracts, agreements and other documents on behalf of the Board of Regents. The president of each institution may delegate his powers to a secondary delegate. Such delegation must be in writing and copies of written delegations are submitted to the University of Texas system. Only persons who have been granted the legal authority to execute and provide contracts, agreements and other board of Regents documents may sign contracts on behalf of the university. The UT Directive provides for the institutions to execute a membership agreement as a framework agreement and to implement certain programme agreements as subordinate agreements to the framework agreement. All educational agreements require approval from UT System.
Authorization can be obtained in three ways: only selected employees are authorized to sign contracts, agreements, or orders on behalf of the University of Texas at Austin. NEW SMALL-SCALE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS AND SMALL REPAIR AND RENOVATION PROJECTS: delegation of authority (1) to execute and provide construction-related agreements, guaranteed maximum prices or modifications and other documents; and (2) appoint architects; approval of construction plans and documents; Execution and provision of agreements and amendments with architects, engineers and other professional service providers for all new small-scale construction projects and small repair and renovation projects with an expected value of less than $4 million. TRADEMARK LICENSE AGREEMENTS: delegation of the power to perform and provide trademark contracts in relation to trademarks owned by the Board of Directors, provided that all trademark license agreements contain: (1) the grant clause published online or a grant clause substantially similar to that grant clause, a statement that subjects the license to the conditions published online for the trademark license agreement, and (3) a brand plan that indicates the exact mark or marks that are licensed and indicates what those marks are to look like (including the colour, capitalization, phrase and other distinguishing features of the included marks). . . .
